One of the biggest problems with the world is...

"One of the biggest problems with the World is, many people think the Bible is more sacred than a song like “Imagine."”

Life is forever evolving. This is nature. We are an expression of the Divine, so it is only natural for old ideologies to no longer serve humanity as well as all the animals, yet many people still think the Bible is a timeless, sacred book.

But any reasonable person who has an open heart and mind can clearly see that there are messages in the Bible that not only no longer serve humanity (if they ever did), but are rather destructive.

Without sounding like a broken record, “Rock and Roll is my Religion”, this is why I love Artists like John Lennon and songs like “Imagine.”

The beautiful thing about a word like imagine is, it doesn’t force an ideology on someone. It leaves room for that person to have an open heart and an open mind and to come to ones own conclusions.

On the other hand, the Bible not only forces it’s ideology upon the reader, it shares rather violent and destructive stories that are quite harmful.

Let’s compare a passage from the Bible to a verse from the song “Imagine” by John Lennon to show you what I mean.

A) “This is what the Lord Almighty says... ‘Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” (1 Samuel 15:3)

B) Now here is a verse from John Lennon’s song “Imagine”... Imagine there's no countries. It isn't hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for and no religion too.Imagine all the people living life in peace.

As you can see, the lyrics to John Lennon’s song are much kinder than the verse from the Bible. And if that wasn’t cool enough. The lyrics were written to a beautiful timeless melody that people can sing along to.

In conclusion, it is safe to say that listening to Rock And Roll is better for the world than reading the Bible.

As always, I’m wishing you…
